I've been working on an oak rocker and had to do some heavy sanding on a band sawed piece. I grabbed my trusty Porter Cable 5" ROS and went to it. It soon became obvious that this wasn't going to cut it. Just then, I remembered that I had a refurbed 150 and 125 FEQ sitting there unused, so I set up the 125 with some 100 grit sample paper and fired it up.
I just can't tell you what a pleasure it was to use the 125, after using the PC. I'm not knocking the PC sander, as it has served me well over the years. I'm just saying that the 125 was so smooth and so aggressive...I was amazed. Also, I don't know which paper I was using, but I was very pleased at how long it lasted. Festool paper may cost more, but it sure does last and that must makes it more economical.
