Actually, I have had people inquire about using the adjustable height base with the New Fangled bench top.  Of course, you can use any bench top with the adjustable base.  [big grin]

This bench isn't adjustable height and I have no idea of the quality but it has several clever features  (lighter & less expensive than an MFT):

Just a thoug but I know a few people who have bought ex hospital beds and converted em to benches. The electric (or manual) rise and fall mechanisms are very smooth and strong and if you manage to find one being thrown out by a hospital they can be very cheap.
