Has festool stopped selling parts for the MFT 1080?

they promise t to have spare parts for 7 years.  call the service center and they should have what you want

They definately have parts older than that, but they do not guarantee more than 7 years after taking the tool out of production. As they will probabely be selling their current line of tools for some more years to come, it's a fairly long period.

I was wondering if you could still buy the extra long rails to make a jumbo mft.  If anyone knows or has a part number that would be appreciated.

I think they are still in catalog, and the part number is 488555.  Mr. Marino still has them listed on his website.

Yes, they are still available. And if you have the 08 catalog, accessories for discontinued items are listed starting on page 180.
