Have saw; no batteries

I also agree the website needs a slight update.  However, I really like the fact that festool added the basic option on cordless tools and the made the batteries very price competitive.

Make that extremely price competitive [thumbs up] About 1/2 the price of others.

I think that standardizing on 18v batteries for the moment that can be used on multiple tools is a great idea.

I fully sympathize with the OP on this one. I looked at the website and and under the Basic option is written "Battery Included." Yes, it doesn't have a green tick next to it, but it is confusing. Why should you have to check with multiple sources to get accurate info? Surely the manufacturers website should be the de facto authority?!

The Festool UK site is much clearer. Under items included it states "without battery pack."

I am sure Brent/ Festool will redesign the website to be better soon.
You summed up everything I wanted to say here. +1

Actually, if it was included it would have a green check mark next to it. Since it doesn't it means NOT INCLUDED.

Does that mean that the arbor is not included also?
What is the part number for it?

Hi Matt

I would suggest you return this saw and check out the new HKC55. The TSC55 will probably be discontinued soon considering the arrival of the HKC that got more features and only need one 18V battery.
When I pointed out my theory to my Festool-rep he did not disagree. [wink]

I'll go with "no way on earth" for your theory ... Festool's product development plans are not that short sighted... plus the two saws do have some shared applications, but also some very different ones.
