Can anyone tell me the height of the suspension frame (for hanging folders)? I'd like to know how much overhead space is left in a Sys 4 when using that insert.

I'm guessing it's close to 10"?

Thanks.

The frame is a touch under 10" at the tallest point. The hanging rail is about 9 3/4" from the bottom. add about 1/2" for the folder tab. So total to the top of a folder tab is about 10 1/4". I'd allow a bit more.

Also it is not sized for our USA folders.

So they don't fit at all ?

Nope. The frame hanging rails are too far apart. I tried one upside down which allowed the feet, so to speak, to be bent inward and be used as the hanging rail. But that doesn't really work out well either. I ended up gluing a couple pieces of hardboard into a Sys - IV  (like vertical dividers) to hang folders.  There is enough room to offset it towards one side leaving space on one end to stand a binder or the like.
