I am new to this web site and not familiar with how to find an answer that I'm having a problem with. I have a festool of 1400 and just purchased the LR 32 hole system.I can't figure out how to mount 1400 to lr 32 base plate. I have searched every u tube video out there. It says that the base plate is compatible to the 1400 router. Would you know of a forum or have a knowledge about this?

Welcome to the FOG.  Whereas your LR 32 system is new (not purchased as used) the 1400 will fit the base.  At one time there was a version for the 1010 and a separate one for the 1400 I believe,

I will go and find a video that I think will help you.

At about the 2:40 mark you should start to see what you need be explained.

Make sure you use the centering mandril and then it becomes apparent. The others were right that you don't use the knobs at all, just the holes.

Cheers. Bryan.

So can an early 1010 style LR32 plate be modified to fit a 1400? Does anyone have the "coordinates" for locating the holes? (No big deal if you don't, I should be able to use the 1400 fiber base as a template.)

Thanks, Dick

Between the fiber base and the mandrel you should be able to modify fairly easily.  As an alternative you could give Festool a call and ask if they have part # 494340 (the LR-32 bottom plate) available.  I don't see a price on the US ekat site.
