It all started about 3 weeks ago bought a  TS55 , got the voucher for £50 off a Dust extractor so got Ct midi. That's when my illness started and I started reading FOG!!! So I bought the must have domino. Now it is a fantastic tool but it just lead on to the Festool Fever. I started trawling eBay and by accident bought a ofk 700 by mistake , I wanted an mfk 700 , so I bought one of those too. Am telling myself I wil sell the ofk!!!!
Now I've just come home and the wife discovered i'd again accidentaly bought a Kapex 120Eb. I tried to tell her it was for our anniversary tomorrow as the 11th anniversary is festool one. She didn't believe me!!!

Can some one please tell me how to stop and if there is some cure/ Medication I can take or kindly point me to the nearest festool anonymous meeting.

I promised the wife I wouldn't buy anything until next year. Ho ho only 4 weeks to go until my next fix.

Owain

man you got it bad/

welcome to the fog.  this probably isnt the best place to try and slow down the ilness but at least you know what you have.

there is no cure. eventually you will have everything you can think you will ever potentially use. then you will need a second of something. so it continues.

get your self the new catologue and a good dealer and enjoy .

I'm sorry to be the person to tell you this, but if your wife is going to get in the way of you buying the power tools your heart desires ... you should probably leave her.

What you are going through is perfectly normal and perfectly healthy.

If your wife is at all deserving of you, she will be overjoyed to receive a ROTEX RO 90 - as a buy you a matching RO 150.

A point though, don't get silly with this, there's no point in getting your wife a OF 2000 if she's a slightly built woman ... think ahead and send her off to body building classes first.

You've got to realise, Festool is all about appropriate "his and hers" gifts.

His and her's track saws for example ... TS55 and TS75

This is obvious all the way throughout the range ... drilling, sanding, belt sanding, routing, dust collecting ... why else would they make all the different sizes.

They've even thought of the perfect gift for your daughter's graduation - the CXS (give her this and she will love you forever!)

Festool, the family tool.

Thank you all for your advice and support.

I never thought about 'his and hers' Festool tools. That's why they make so many sanders/drill/router etc. So does that mean I now need to give her my domino and buy a domino XL?
Pity they don't still make the MFT 800 she could have had that and I could have an MFT/3.
I wonder if Festool have any lingerie I could get her, or is that carrying the Festool Fetish TM too far?

Or maybe i should just replace my addiction with a new cheaper and less destructive one; maybe heroin.

there is some clothing on the festool uk (irish site there is any way). maybe she might like some of that for christmas

She might be okay with lingerie that says "Faster" and "Smarter", but might not like the "Easier" part  [tongue]
