I have a new CT48 and boom with the work center. I installed the boom today. But it seems that when you install the boom you loose the power cord wrap around plastic piece when you install the boom support bracket. It installs using the same screw hole locations as the power cord wrap plastic piece. Is this normal?
What are the half round extra plastic holders in the bottom where the boom fits in for? No mention of these in the instructions.
The instructions are somewhat lacking.

Thanks,
Andy

I think on the newer versions of the CT that you do lose the cord wrap with the Boom Arm and folks just wrap the cord around the handle.  You can use the other parts of the bottom piece to support things like vacuum tubes or other CT accessories.

Bought the work center as well. I will try the cord wrap on the work center.
Thank you,

Click on the link in my post above to see how I mounted my cord wrap. I raised the WCR1000 to the tallest position. I then cut out a mounting plate for the cord wrap that fits snugly to the rear support column on the WCR1000. I drilled two holes for the cord wrap to be bolted to the plate. Four holes were drilled so that some tie wraps could be ran through the plate and around the column to fix the plate to the WCR1000. As I mentioned the CT36 cord wrap had to be sanded such that it would lay flat when tightened down to the mounting plate. Using appropriate mounting screws that fit the cord wrap holes I affixed the cord wrap to the WCR1000. Next I positioned the mounting plate on the WCR1000 support column and used tie wraps to secure the cord wrap and mounting plate to the column. This fits nicely between the handle and does not protrude beyond the outside perimeter of the CT36. This is a benefit to me as I have little room for things to lie in wait to snag on something, like me or another rolling unit.
