Help with Festool purchase

Hello,
I recently bought a few items from a local dealer and wanted to see if they are how they're supposed to be out of the box.

1.  ETS 125-The tool wasn't in the correct position in the systainer when it was shipped to me and the bottom of the sander-the white cushion part where you
attached the sand paper to-was kind of bent out of shape.  Will this affect the tools ability to sand in a uniform fashion?

2.  I bought a guide rail bag to replace my old one.  It doesn't have any straps inside the bag to hold the rails, and the zipper extends past the bag on one side and
isn't really attached to the bag at the very end.  It looks like they forgot to sew on the last 3-4 inches and forgot to cut off the excess zipper.  It was also shipped
to me folded up and I don't think I want to put my rails in a bag that has bends in it.

Can anyone help me and let me know if their purchases came this way also?

Thanks

Tony, give the sander a little time and see if the pad regains its shape. If it doesn't call Festool and see if they'll replace the pad. As for the bag, I remember my bag was folded it wasn't a problem at all. I don't think my zipper extends past the bag, its a few years old now so maybe its manufactured that way now. I wouldn't worry too much about it that it's is pretty common on other bags I've had. My bag doesn't have any straps inside to secure the rails either, the rails are a tight fit so there is no reason for straps. And welcome to the FOG.

Tony,

I've had a couple of Festools arrive 'out of position' in the systainer, luckily just a few scuff marks and no real damage.

The TS55 is much more secure in it's systainer than my ATF55 was, and the OF1400 was rock solid in its systainer, but some others move around a bit.

I do think Festool is learning the American style of shipping, which is to try to destroy the contents of what is being shipped, and they are getting better at protecting stuff.
I'd love to be a fly on the wall at a UPS shipping depot.

Good luck with the sander pad,

Pete
