Can anyone help me with what replacement nut I need for my Kapex rails? It's the nut that slides into the underside of the rail to secure the clamp that secures the rail to the saw.

I have attached pic from the manual of the one I am pretty sure it is.

I swear these things are impossible to keep in there.

Fromhttps://www.festoolusa.com/service/repair-service/spare-parts:

Part number 228566, "Square Nut M6".  There are a total of 18 on a single leg set.  $1.60 each plus shipping if you want to order direct from Festool USA.

I would just take one of the other 17 out and head to a small hardware store and find the oldest guy in the building who will likely take you right to the bin that has them.  True Value, Ace, etc., or even probably Menards would have something for you, I'm sure.

I totally get why you said that although my Home Depot must be a real quirk in the system... among the youngest guys who gives off the happy-surfer vibe is hands-down the guy I look for regardless of the department. The old veteran former plumber in plumbing is just cranky that you want to fix it yourself and gives advice my resi/commercial plumber neighbor says "that's why he's at Home Depot"  [tongue]

I just had a look at mine and they look identical to the cage nuts we use for our datacentre racks which we get in M5 and M6. You could probably buy a bag of them for not much from any IT supplier.

How many of the rack mount nuts do you need? I can send you whatever you want.
