Hoping someone can help with this

My TS55 was bought used, been absolutely great but was starting to feel loose on the guide rails

Finally gave in and paid the ridiculous £26 for the cross guide replacement (4 pieces of plastic) just fitted them and they are just about snug but it’s right on the max on the cam to tighten up to the rails, photo attached to show but not sure what else could be replaced to sort it? Unless it just wants a few dabs of glue on the fattest part of the cam so it pushes it out a little further, but can’t see that being reliable or great for longevity?

Any help appreciated!IMG_1403.jpeg

I don't have one of the newer 55's, but it looks like you're on the least snug setting, try turning the cam clockwise as viewed from the pic.

That looks like a TS55 EBQ model......I have the same saw that I bought new back in 2011 and mine is a 240v UK model.

To tighten the cams, you turn them clockwise when viewing from the top of the saw, anti clockwise when viewed from the bottom.
Admittedly, it does look like your cams are set to maximum adjustment, which is odd because you've just replaced the black rubbing strips....?

If you slacken off the cams to remove the tension, then remove the new black plastic strips, is there any play in the cam itself...?
I've just removed the strips in mine to check and my cam is still snug as it rotates.

Here's a picture of the bottom of mine......
