Hempseed oil as a wood finish

Looking at different, natural finishes for some wooden baby toys -- so something that won't poison a developing brain.  A couple of sites I've looked at make a point of differentiation their use of Hempseed oil.  Just wondering if this is a particularly good/safe finish for wooden toys (and if so, any particular brand? -- a google search just pulled up examples of body oil, not wood oil), or if it's just trading on the crunchy disposition towards all things Hemp, and there's nothing particularly distinctive about it.  And any suggestions beyond Hempseed oil?  Thanks.

I am under the impression that hempseed oil is not an optimal product because it does not fully cure, but I may be wrong about that.

Grape oil is my go-to for anything that comes into contact with food or mouth. Apply in thin layers with plenty of drying/curing time between.

Per the manufacturer - "OSMO Polyx-Oil contains no biocides or preservatives, and when dry it is safe for humans, plants and animals. Polyx-oil meets European safety standards for use on children's furniture and toys and resistance to perspiration and saliva."

I think Mineral Oil that you can buy at Pharmacy's gets the same rating for safe contact once dry.  Your biggest concern is driers added to the wood, so raw oil should have no additives, but won't dry as fast as Poly Oils/Polymerized oils.
I believe there's a wealth of info on using oils as a food safe/kid safe finish out there.
