Well, they had a couple of these RAP Sets on sale for 400€ a piece and no discounts on Rotexes and I had read somewhere that one should not use a sander for polishing due to contamination of wood dust left in the sander possibly ruining the polish so I figured I might as well buy a specialized tool for polishing, save the 250€ over a RO150, get a maxi-systainer full of polishing pads, liquids and other consumables to boot. And ofcourse if my sanding needs end up requiring a large rotex over my ETS150/3, then I can get one when I need it for that. [tongue] [cool]
Now I just need to figure how to use machinery for polishing since I've always waxed and polished my cars by hand... I think there was a super extensive thread about car polishing either here or maybe on TalkFestool forum that I need to revisit. At the time when I read through it it felt like a very involved process, but maybe it'll become clear with a rereading.
My wife is generous enough to 'let me use' her Peugeot as a testing ground for washing, waxing and polishing [poke]
