I first saw the Festool pocket stickfix 2 years ago when I went to the Toolnut. I never even knew the sander even exsisted and for $15 I thought it was reasonable and would be very handy. Two years later I'm still loving that little sander, it's really nice to have on me while doing installs for a quick sanding and I wanted to pass on the info on what I feel is a hidden gem that Festool has. The part number is 583129 if anyone is looking for it.

Awesome...Had no idea about this thing. Could use it right now actually. I am sold.  [wink]

Well as it turns out just after Dave made this great discovery, he turned me on to this goody.
It has been the greatest thing for me to keep close by when I build my cabinets.
It s funny because it seems everytime Dave and I are at ToolNut we seem to be always grabbing the assortment paper pack for this toy.

Dave Thank You for turning me on to this one

I love mine.  Have two of them and a different grit on each one.

I use mine all the time, mostly 180,I wish it came in higher grits

I agree with wishing for higher grits.  I love mine for fine touch-ups while working on furniture projects.

David, thank you for turning yourself and Sal onto this sander and buying more sandpaper in turn each time you come in the store.

Yours truly,
Sean

DO NOT GET ME started on why don't we in the USA have this already???? [mad] [mad] [mad]  I forgot that there was a special hose you could get for them as well.  I know of SOMEONE here in the States that has the WHOLE SET of Festool Hand Sanders with the Dust Collection Port!!!!!!!!!   [tongue] [tongue] [tongue]
But,........ I WON'T reveal their name, so no one would plan to break into their shop and steal that special NAINA stuff... [wink]

I have one of the HSK blocks which was a very generous gift from a member.  Great product.  I also have some Mirka blocks that I purchased from Woodcraft.  They appear to be the same with possibly a slightly different hook and loop.

You can also take a look at Amazon:  Amazon

I would have given Festool info but if not available here...

Got one today, used it tonight. It's a sweet little addition to my tool belt during finish work. I will be using it quite a bit. And it satisfies my Festool OCD very well.

Dave,

I watch you Sysroll video. Looks like you have room above a few of the Sys's on the shelves, flip the Sysroll over and place the bottom on top of one of the Sys's. Even with the offset in the handle, you should be able to strap it in place. Gets it off the floor for you.

I don't have one, no clue on what to put in the bottom drawer. I'm sure I'd think of something if I had one. Would have to be able be turned upside down.

I have two of these pocket stickfix thingys for many years because I use them a lot and always want to be able to find one.   (I find that things go more smoothly if I have at least two of the hand tools that I come to depend on  [embarassed] )

I just wish that Festool sold a better selection of abrasives for them.   [sad]
