Correct.  You might be able to see it in the video above (Youtube link)

You may have to re-hang the cabinet and use shims to get it plumb.

But first put a level in the cabinet (on the bottom) and check the verticals for plumb with the level.

It being out of plumb would result in the cabinet being out of square.

As mentioned by some one earlier, if it is out of square, attempting to get the doors adjusted may prove futile.

I hate to suggest it, but the results with the square pretty much require you check the base cabinets for level.

Place the level on the cabinet bottom and check for level side to side and again front to back.  And report back.

Note:  When first installing base cabinets it is customary to check the level at the counter height.  But the installer might have leveled the counter after the fact, so I think it is better to check the level at the bottom.

Checked few other cabinets and this one is the one with issues. Others are ok

That was not what I was hoping for.  It confirms that the installer did a less-than-stellar job.

If the other cabinets do not bother you, I would be hesitant about recommending a complete re-install.

This from Google’s AI:

A typical timeframe between kitchen remodels is generally considered to be 10-15 years. This timeframe takes into account normal wear and tear, but can vary depending on the quality of materials used, how often the kitchen is used, and the level of maintenance provided

So, maybe do the best you can with it until the next remodel.

This kitchen is over 10 years old so it might be due for remodel at some point. Not sure if it’s worth doing anything to this specially reinstall.

We crossed posts.  We are seemingly coming up with the same answer.  But not bad for plumb.

I wonder if the Blum version of that hinge has a greater range of adjustment.  Replacing two hinges is certainly under $20.00, and is typically a plug-and-play replacement.  The trick is figuring out which hinges to order.

The Blum hinge will be 73B3550, this will be a soft close hinge, if you do not want soft close; 73T3550.

Plates are hard to tell from the picture, they will be either 175H7100 0mm or 175H7130 3mm.

The .** Blum plates will not work in this application, the shortest is to tall.

Scribe the bottom of the door and be done with it, and or plane or sand to fit.

Don’t you need to know the overlay?  Or maybe all IKEA cabinets have the same overlay?

It might be very hard to match the color and gloss.  And a color mis-match will be even more noticeable e than a sagging hinge.

I’m pretty sure you could make this work.  It might be my route if I was painting the cabinets and I was not concerned with matching color.

Interestingly, the human eye is not particularly adept at defining colors.  We mentally “adjust” the colors we see to more nearly match what we expect the colors to be.

However, the human eye is particularly adept at matching colors.  Trying to match colors can be a chore. Especially since wet paint colors often do not match dry paint colors.

So, I don’t think I would try that in this instance.

It’s a formeica type of material on top of the door. Glued on. Not sure if they still offer it
I might try the Blum hinges and see if that works

The hinge I listed will adjust to a 20mm overlay, looking at the picture in post #1 it appears to be 19mm overlay. You can control the overlay with the plates also, thus the 2 part numbers.

I’d like to know that too.  I have never understood the “plates” (and apparently I never needed them.)

I assumed that they were spacer plates.  But I guess we will learn pretty soon.

et al;

The “plate” is the hinge mounting plate that is a fixed to the side of the cabinet. A euro style hinge does not attach directly to the side of the cabinet, it gets clipped to the mounting plate.

Screen shot of Blums catalog page of plates that we use most often, there are special plates for unique applications.

[attachimg=1]

Here is a Clip Top page. Column H is plate height, looking right in the chart shows the maximum overlay that can be achieved at a given plate height. Bottom of the chart is the boring distance, which is edge of door to closets edge of 35mm hole.

[attachimg=2]

Couple of “how to use” pages.

[attachimg=4]

There are some occasion we violate most of these hinge rules…
