Hinge mortise plane -lee valley or lie-Nielsen

Hi guys
Trying to decide on a hinge mortise plane. Any info or opinions are appreciated. I keep going back and forth also between mortise plane and sm router plane, thoughts? Main use will be for butt hinges on boxes.

I have the Veritas hinge mortise plane. I like that it takes the same blades as the router plane besides the 3/4" blade it comes with. Means I could swap in the narrow blades easily and run it against a fence (side of plane body; can't do that with a router plane).  That said, though, the LN version is just a narrow plane with a big mouth so you get the added stability of a frog with only one size blade.

I like using a router plane to clean up a dado if there's any possible issue with it.

I bought the DeWalt DWP611 trim router with duel LED lighting and it works perfectly for hinge mortises.

I own the LN hinge mortise plane, Meh. 
For your stated need I'd get the LN small router plane and the depth stop.
