Found this interesting video today. Some eye opening topics on it like the end of the saw pit era. Hope one or two of you might give it a watch.....?

Thanks for posting this.  Very cool to see old footage and see the brand names as they developed.  I would love to see something like this done on the European side.

Just watched it - interesting to see a bit of history. I'd love to see something that dealt with the Euro too manufacturers too.
 
I've now seen the entire video and quite enjoyed it.  [smile]  

But, the people who put the video together seem to be completely unaware that there is a world out there beyond the USA.  [huh]

... and my favourite tool remains the one that I showed in my earlier post.
 
I enjoyed the brief images of the saw pit.  The house across the street from me was built on an old sawmill site and they discovered an old saw pit while digging the footings.  Seems that it was lined with stone.  I was more fortunate.  My house was built over the old farmhouse site.
