The depth adjustment lever has stopped working on my HK 85 EB. It did seem a little stiff when I first used the machine from new but worked OK. I'm not sure how it works but I think pressing the adjustment lever causes the inner part to flex thus separating it from the serrated edge, thus allowing the adjustment to take place.
I'd just thought it would loosen up with more frequent use.
I removed the side plate that houses the large plunge spring.
I could see the serrated surface that the adjuster travels on but without further disassembly I have no access to see what the adjustment lever is actually doing or how the mechanism works.
Any help appreciated.
