Hk55 cutting Hardie Plank?

One of my concerns with cutting cement products is the health concerns of breathing in the dust.  That's why the ts/hk saw looked appealing for the dust collection.

Ditch the fiber cement, use LP Smart Side. You'll never look back if you use Smart Side once.

. Is it holding up better than the earlier version of it?

No issues at all with what I've installed over the last 6 years. LP spent a lot of time and money correcting the first generations issues.

When part of my house were done in hardieplank, the guys used power shears for some of the cutting.  That is an awesome way to do basic cuts with minimal dust.

I have a pair of Kett Shears.  I'm not impressed with them.  The cut quality is inconsistent.  It also leaves 1/4 pigtails all over the jobsite.
