Any hints or speculation from Festool about the bigger saw for the United States?

Sorry if this has been asked and answered, I did do a search first. Nadda.

Thanks, Sam

There are not currently any plans to bring the HK 85 to North America.

I wish they would. I wonder if its just too much saw for 110v? I know id love to have one. Whether i could afford one and the dado set is another question though.

I think they like having things to discuss in the planning meetings  [poke]

In all seriousness, if the dado head is a liability they can make it to not except the cutter.  They can make it 110v and it gets a motor special for NA anyway.  The HK55 is just to (girly man) small.

Overhere in Holland the prices are:
- Mafell KSS80 is €1474 incl.VAT
- Festool HK85 is €841 incl.VAT
Both have rails and systainer.
- Mafell K85 is €1148 incl.VAT
And only has systainer.
Price difference is huge!

Yes! Also, need to consider that the rails are not completely compatible.  So, I see an opportunity for Festool USA.
