I've heard that the HL850 with the rustic heads can be used to get a hand-scraped look on hardwood floors. I have several smooth rooms that I want to scrape in-place and am wondering (a) if the 850 will do the job in-place and (b) are there any pictures of finished floors that were done using the 850?

The HL 850 planer does have multiple rustic heads available that can give a variety of effects. The undulating head will produce a hand hewn appearance. These effects can be produced on-site.
I don't have any pictures specifically of a floor. I did a quick search and found a thread where a couple of forum members show some work done with that planer head.

I would imagine that you'll need to do the corners by hand (the "end" corners).
