Hi Guys,

Goofy little project, but my buddy wanted to make a few of these for his son, using his old hockey sticks !!

Actually thought they turned out pretty cool  [big grin]

Before anyone asks, the animated gif of the little guy with the idiot sign is part of that poster's signature line and is not meant as a comment in the thread.  The question has come up before.

That is really cool, now I know what to do with the old sticks I have in the garage

Thanks Peter.  I was temporarily upset  haha.
Those are cool.  I feel a marketing opportunity here...you should contact your area teams to see if they have promo interest in this.

That is really clever!  I especially like the hockey puck stand.  Did you just cut a straight dado in the puck or is it angled somehow?

Thanks for sharing your creativity.

Was it hard trying to find a wood hockey to cut up?  I have play ever since I have a kid and I know that most stick are now composite.    Many shops dont even even carry wood sticks.    A couple years ago I made a bar top out of broken hockeys sticks and had to make it out of composite sticks.  Awesome project!!!!!

I made a jig to secure the puck, and ran it on a tablesaw with a dado blade,  so it's just a straight dado.

I just made it deep and sloppy enough for the frame to lay back.
