Hole spacing

I'm building a workbench and am planing to have dog holes down the front face of the legs .im going to get a domino (you guys have convinced me as this is really the domino owners group) what would the spacing be to put a domino hole on the side face so you could use a festool clamp to hold things to the leg

I think there are a couple pictures in there that may answer your question or at least give you an idea of how far apart to space them... maybe 4-8 inches apart?
