With many shelves and doors to paint for my recent project, I started looking for drying racks and found them to be too expensive for what they were and most of all took up too much valuable floor space. So after a good nigh sleep, it came to me. I had a room at the end of my workshop that had no drywall installed. So I made some wooden brackets out of scrap plywood and screwed them to the exposed 2x4's. Each pair holds 25lbs. Works great.

Great idea.... but how do you keep them from falling on the floor---?? :o
Good question. New image posted. No need to worry about gravity anymore.

easy, just stop paying the gravity bill

On newer homes I think there's a valve to cut gravity off at the meter.

Typically, that's only outside the City Limits so the Code isn't strictly enforceable.
