Home made Sysports

You would use a LR32 (or similar) to drill the slide mounting holes. Then you still attach those to the sides with screws. Then when you need to adjust, you move them up or down and reattach with screws.  Think ikea furniture.

Be absolutely sure to read the literature on the slides selected so you understand the spacing for the mounting holes before setting up the LR 32.  The first row of holes is almost always 37mm in from the face.  The second, third and fourth row of mounting holes indexes on the first row.  For example, the 22" Accuride glides that I most frequently use set up as follows:
  • Hole 1 - 37mm from the front;
  • Hole 2 - 128mm from the first hole, 165mm from the front;
  • Hole 3 - 96mm from the second hole, 261mm from the front;
  • Hole 4 - 128mm from the third hole, 389 from the front.
You get the picture...

I'm a simple guy.  This is a furniture dolly from HD.  I used a couple pieces of Brazilian walnut to make some latches.  One is fixed and the other slides.  I used the 8mm Domino on med width to make the bolt slot.  But my main problem is I don't have enough Festool yet!

Finally got around to making mine. Still have some adjustments to make. Trying to think of some attachements I could make on the sides, like something to hold an ETS150. Also the casters are pretty cheap and will end up being swapped out. The idea is to have the surface flush with the MFT/3 top so I can use them as supports. Might paint some parts green since I have some left over paint.

I like the supports idea, I made mine the same way. Great job.

A great thread on building your own sysport, dating from mid-2014 all the way back to early 2007.  A lot of good ideas, designs, and info.

I noticed a lot of questions pertaining to drawer slides, where to buy and at what price, and thought I would pass this along to anyone wanting to purchase some slides at what I think is a pretty good price.  On eBay they are selling lots of 10 pairs (contractor packs) of Gliderite slides, appears to be direct from the manufacturer...  Qty 10 pair of the 14" slides can be "purchased now" for $33 plus $20 shipping.  Unit price broke down to ~$5.40 for a pair (or $3.35 per pair plus shipping).  These are the full extension, ball bearing 100 pound rated slides.

Other sizes are available, depending on size, price will vary....  These were some of the best prices I found for slides for the sysports I will be building.

I know you don't want to link to a feebly auction since it won't 'age' well, but perhaps you could provide the seller's ebay ID if folks want to do a search in the future?

I just ordered these Gliderites a few days ago directly from the manufacturer (gliderite.com) and they were a little cheaper - 49.90 with free shipping.

Yeah, feeBay is pretty worthless these days. High priced, limited options, and force you to use PayPal. No thanks - I'll order direct from the manufacturers just like you did.

Well WOW, I did mention in the post "appears to be from the manufacturer," perhaps you missed that.  A quick search on eBay indicates that to be the case, at least as far as I can tell.  Gliderite appears to be selling most of their offerings on the "buy now" options with large quantities available.  So, perhaps not a "feeble auction" and who knows, they may continue for a while with these prices.

Ron, looks like you got them a little cheaper than I did, but, these prices are still way below what others paid previously, according to this thread....

Edited to include photo...
