After about a dozen years of bliss, we decided to get married. Veronica and I ducked out to Kauai for a honeymoon. Here is a little of what we did...

Waterfalls

Beaches

and even a Canyon

The only camera we took was in our phones so the quality may not be perfect but I thought these turned out OK.

It was wonderful.

Now I need to fulfill some open requests from my absence.

Yea, congrats Tom.

Stunning place.  Pictures look good, what type of phone were they taken on ?

Woodguy.

Congratulations Tom. If the honeymoon was a good as the pictures, then you've had a great time.

Thanks for all the well wishes!

You could say that I'm a careful shopper. After over a decade of scrutiny, I'm pretty sure I have a keeper.

Our phones are T-Mobile MyTouch 4G devices. I think they're Androids. At the time we got them, they were free with a 2-year contract. It's the best phone/computer deal I've ever made. There were several pix that didn't come out, partially because of operator error and partially because of unfamiliarity with all of the functionality available. Since seeing the mistakes, I have looked into the options and can see how to avoid most of the errors. Another common problem is trying to hold it still enough. They are HD quality and it also makes HD video pretty well.

That little island is an amazing place. I think you could easily spend a month there constantly exploring and not do the same thing twice. We packed a lot in to a week and it was great fun. I highly recommend it.

We burned a lot of miles left over from my previous life so the flight was free but long, actually 3 flights over 13 hours (2 times). That travel ordeal is the most discouraging factor in consideration of any return to paradise.

Awesome Tom!  Congratulations.

I feel horrible that I sent you an email during your honeymoon, and I can't believe you took the time to respond!  Dude, you are dedicated.

Hope you had a great time, I've been to Oahu ( a long time ago) and didn't want to come back.  I'm sure at one point during you honeymoon, you were running numbers in your head to see if you could somehow run your business from Hawaii...

Welcome back!

Jon

Hey Tom!  Wishing you and Veronica best wishes on your marriage and many more good years to come.

Finally got to Hawaii, huh!  [wink]

Thanks, Jon! Thanks, Ken! Thanks, Jesse!

I blew it all off for the first few days, Jon. Then I conducted business for a little while each day. We did a lot of hiking and just getting to many of the beaches was a slippery, though beautiful, hike that could easily go down 200'. That was especially true on the North End. I went to Maui several years ago and have tried to come up with a way to live in paradise ever since. The nearest I've gotten is Austin.

Yeah, Ken, I finally broke down...

Congratulations Tom and Veronica! Best Wishes and I'm glad you enjoyed your vacation! Very nice.  [big grin]

Hey Tom,

Late to the Chat area. As others have said - Congratulation to both of you.

Bob

Tom,

I haven't been visiting here much in the last year or so, but I happened to see your post today.  WOW!

I am so happy for the two of you.  Veronica better be great (I am sure she is) because you certainly deserve the best.

No one can fully appreciate how hard you have worked the last few years to build that business of yours.

Again, best wishes to the Bellemares.

Neill

Thanks, Neill!

Veronica is actually the nicest person I ever met, and cute too. I'm incredibly lucky.

There are a lot of very secluded beach on kauai, especially up on the north east coast.  Kalihiwa bay, Secret beach, Donkey Beach (Kuna Bay), Anahola bay etc.... then there are the wide open beaches on the west coast like Polihale, at the end of a long dirt road....

hope you had a great time, and congrads.

Thanks, Greg! We had a wonderful time.

I think we went to about a dozen different beaches, mostly on the North End. We were staying at a friend's condo in Princeville and could walk to a few. It's a beautiful island among beautiful islands.
