I am a new festool owner. I just recently purchased a CT 36 AC and a compact cleaning kit. Perhaps I purchased the wrong set of cleaning tools since I cannot seam to connect the extensions to the hose. The hose and the extensions appear to be the same diameter.  ??? Is there something I can get that will allow me to connect the two? I can connect the crevice tool directly to the hose, but I would like to use the extensions. Thanks.

The CT 36 AC is set up for use with the Planex Drywall sander and I think the hose is meant for that tool. Unless you have and use the Planex, you might be better off with the non auto cleaning ct with an anti static 27mm hose.

Edit: The 36mm hose would be better for clean-up.

Is this the hose you have? I think it's the hose that comes with the CT 36 AC, and as said above is to be used with the Planex drywall sander. There is no cleaning set that will fit it. You need a standard 27 mm or 36 mm hose to use a cleaning set.

Any cleaning kit except the Compact Cleaning kit will fit properly the CT 36 AC hose that is designed for the Planex. If you remove the bent section of the Compact Cleaning set wand, the 36 AC hose will fit over the straight section of wand.

You can cut the bell end off the bent section, then the 27 mm hose will not work with the wand.

I got the CT 36 AC because the next purchase will be the planex dry wall sander. I couldn't afford both at the same time, the Planex will be purchased in September.

Yes, Alex, that is the hose that I have. So will the other hose fit the CT 36 AC?

All of the other hoses fit the AC. As I said, for now just plug the straight wand section into the Planex hose.
