How can I verify the dealers have registered my tools?

I now have 7 Festool tools, purchased over the past 8 months  ::)

I have not received a 2007 Festool catalog which makes me wonder if the tools were registered by the dealers?  I purchased several from the local Woodcraft, one from McFeelys, and I won a Domino from a contest on this site.

Is there a way to verify that all my tools are registered for the 1+2 warranty?...joe

Joe, the registration forms we use from FestoolUSA are carbon copy forms.  We make it a practice to mail the "copy" part of the registration form back to the end user via snail mail; although with the "techy" people we scan and e-mail.

You may want to call customer service at FestoolUSA 1-888-337-8600 and verify.  The folks there are great, just like the tools, and they should be able to pull up your name in the data base fairly quickly.

Best of luck,

Tim

I bought a lot of tools from Bob Marino, but never received a "copy" of the tool registration form.

Should I follow up on this with the factory?  or Bob? or ???

The service from Bob is great never the less and I will continue to purchase tools from him. Now if I could just win the Lottery.

Hi Jeff,

I register the tools with Festool, all are  "in the system",....but I'd like to split that Lottery win with you;>).

UPDATE

I called Festool, (first time, and they guy was Really nice).  The guy said that registration was not really anything to worry about.  He said they have the date from the serial number tracking.  If the tool was at the dealer a while, then you would always have your receipt.  Sounded to me more like "don't worry, we'll take care of you".

The more interesting part of the call was our discussion on Kapex.  He Really likes the Kapex. Said they wanted it in the US before the end of the year but sales overseas are so high they may not get it in the US until late Q1 08.  He said the most amazing thing is the dual lasers and how they are adjustable.  He said that on every other CMS, the lasers can only be adjusted for when the saw is up, or the saw is down.  Apparently with the Kapex, the lasers can be adjusted to they are spot on no matter when the saw is in it's travel up and down, and back and forth.  Also, each laser is independently adjustable.  He said every possible aspect of the saw is adjustable...joe

Joe,
McFeely's sends registrations once each week. You're covered. In the unlikelyhood of an issue, we have your purchase on file should you need verification of purchase.
