Since June 1, I've had two boxes of cut-to-length Domino tenon stock sitting on the floor because I haven't found a good place to store it yet. How do you store yours? Pictures please!
Our supply of cut-to-length Domino floating tendon stock is stored in the same portion of my shop's stock room as all of my bulk Domino tendons. Since my shop is in Burbank, California changes in temperature and humidity are not problems for me.
If you don't mind cutting them in two (14 11/16") they will fit in a Systainer and possibly in one of the new style tenon trays. This somewhat defeats the 'cut to length' idea but they would still be pretty long.
I'm wrestling with the length of the stock. I could store them vertically in my shop, or may cut them to length and stick them in shelves. I've never had a swelling issue with Dominos to date.
They are color coded on the end; could put them in a cardboard tube like they use for bulk paper rolls (or fabric). Add a shoulder strap and wear it like a quiver.
I make my own domino stock, and usually i also make it to a custom width between 80 and 100mm wide depending on the project. And the amount you need for a door or gate is so great that i rarely have any in stock. When i made too much i just store it on a wood rack in the heated part of my shop, most if not all of my XL projects are for the outdoors so i mostly make tenons out of african hardwood, pressure threated pine or cedar.
