How do you store your nailers?

Having accumulated a variety of nailers, I'm looking for an elegant solution for storage.  Some of my nail guns have their own cases - a variety of shapes and sizes (ugh), and some don't.  I could see using a systainer for the pinners or brad nailers, but then the larger guns (15g, framer) don't really fit into this scheme unless you use a SYS-4 or 5 which seems like a huge waste of space.  There's gotta be a better way - systainer-related or not!

Although I haven't tried it yet- and AM waiting to hear of any cool responses you get- How about trying a Maxi-sys to store the Framing Nailers and nails- I have 2 Maxi's that the Planex set comes in[ tool and harness], so I can play around this week with seeing how my 2 Bostitch Framers fit with one.

In the shop in one drawer................  nailer with corresponding fasteners in compartments for ready use, and boxes behind.  Drawer size could be larger for a 15ga to fit well. I leave my framer in the original case.

I always store my nailers and staplers with the air line inlet uppermost. After using an air tool I put a few drops of light oil down the air inlet and store it upright.

Not so long ago I decided to make a new bandsaw mobile base and built into it a pair of special hinged compartments especially for my most used air tools.

Eyeing that Sys4 3 drawer sortainer.  I wonder if it could hold my 23g, 21g, and 18g plus nails for each?  For now the shop is 100% mobile due to renovations so no cabinets/drawers for probably another year.  Then I'd prefer to use a solution like Seth.

I built a custom cabinet for them. In hindsight I could have organized them a little closer together and gotten another one in the cabinet.  Has worked great.

I don't have a picture which I realize would make this easier to understand but I store my nailers in a little wall mount cabinet I built of scrap plywood.  It is maybe two feet wide and maybe 18 inches tall.  There is a drawer for the fasteners and above that, there are separators that are pocket screwed to the 3/4 plywood shelf under the nailers and the 3/4 plywood back.  1/2 would have worked.  The space for each nailer is a little different as are the separators to fit my nailers (15 gauge, 16 gauge, two narrow crown staplers, upholstery stapler, 18 gauge and 23 guage plus a flooring stapler).  The big flooring nailer hangs on the side.  The framing nailer is my wife's and she like to store it away from my nailers.  I don't like the nailers to be in a box.  I want them out and readily accessable.  A little Senco compressor is on the bottom shelf of the work table so I can be ready to go in less than a minute. 

While I like my pneumatics, the nailer I reach for first in a lot of circumstances is my Ryobi 18 guage cordless nailers.  Heavy but VERY handy.  No hose or extension cord.  It hangs on the wall to the left of the RAS.

    I run the guns from CO2 bottles/cylinders . Same type as used for paintball. Those are 9oz. I have a couple regulators for the purpose.  Makes a compact set up. That can be rolled around a work area or just put out the way. The picture here is an old one. I am using a different regulator now but basically the same.

Vondawg, that is a fantastic set up, nicely done.
For the nail guns and crown stapler I take for installs, I use a 3 drawer sys and some foam. Grex 23g and Ridgid brad gun and stapler with all the assorted fasteners in the drawers.

I store mine in a Sys4 I fitted with a plywood divider.  I keep a small supply of nails in a tray that sits on top of the dividers.

Kevin, thanks for posting those images of the 3 drawer sys.  I'd really like to do that if I could fit my 21/23g, 18g, and 16g angled.  It's really just a question of whether that 16g (Paslode T250A) will fit...

Are those dividers movable, or do you have to be able to fit the nailer into 2/3 of the drawer?

While the dividers are removable, the positions (two, symetric) they can be installed in is fixed.

It's really just a question of whether that 16g (Paslode T250A) will fit...

I would simply take the nailer(s) to your local festool dealer and do a test fit...
