How do you store your router bits?

Nice job.  Making everything so easy to see and so well organized makes for a very productive shop.

Very nice video.......... Thanks

I couldn't do it without labels. No so much that I don't know what the bits are, just for ease of replacement of worn bits.

Personally I would have put a slot at the top of the board for the spanner .. It'd annoy me to need to go into the mini systainer for it every time.

Labels are great! This past Christmas my wife looked at me weird when I told her what I wanted was a nice label maker... I am now neck deep in labels....

Excellent set up idea. I'm trying to keep my set portable so I'd likely keep a design in systainer with maybe in a sys 4 sort 3. Thanks for sharing your idea. And build tips.

I think the thing that threw her was 'nice' ... you should have said you want 'a burly man's label maker' [wink] [big grin]

Duly noted. Next time I want something I will preface it with 'burly man's _____" !

Cool idea Kev. Will look into it. I just thought of a neat way! Thanks!

One thing that I have had on my "list" to do is to cut them out like Rick Christopherson has done with his bit holder.  He did a step hole to have a 1/2" hole with a 1/4" hole in the middle.  With this setup you can mix and match either shanks in your layout.  I will have to find a link to it as it is a great idea!

Thanks for sharing David... I like how clean everything looks with the white chipboard!

cheers.  Bryan.

I use the festool systainer with the router bit foam insert. In fact I got 2 of them. One is a sys 1 the other is a sys 3 with 2 foam inserts full of bits stacked on each other. The wrenches and bits are in a sortainer drawer with my CMS inserts and collets.

Not as fancy but it works for me.

My router table has the layout of the new yankee workshop table with two drawers for 1/2 shank and two drawers for 1/4 shank router bits.  The 1/2 shank drawers are getting pretty full but the 1/4 not so much.  Each drawer is really just some glued up and planned down softwood scraps with a bunch of holes I it and a 1/4 plwood backer.  I deliberately sorted through my bits to find ones that were on the big side so the bits go in and out easily.  If I traveled this wouldn't work but for my shop work it works great.
