How lucky we are - sort of

I was looking at the UK site and the 1080 MFT is 386GBP which is almost double what it is here.    The TS-55 is 406GBP, both excluding the VAT!  I only thought they were expensive here.  Are they just raking those on the other side of the pond or are they subsidizing the US market?  Not to sound US centric but all I know is that for many reasons, I am glad I live here. I wouldn't be able to have any of the Festool tools in my shop!
