I know this question is kinda silly, However after getting my first Syslite I am debating a second one for 2 light sources on the job. So my question is this.

How many Syslite's do you own?

Hi Throwback7r,

I have zero, but am very curious how do you use the Syslite and why you want the second one?
It must be very useful, but I guess you are not using it just to make a dark corner brighter?

I do general stuff so I am out in the field every day. So some days it is nice to under a sink to fix a leak and others to light up a basement that I am installing over head lights. At first I did not get the concept of the Syslite I was like I have a bunch of flashlights that are cheaper .. However, the angles and the use of the drill batt's are really nice.

I have one but debating on getting more- mine is used mainly to set on my MFT next to the workpiece while I'm sanding.  No better light to show any imperfections/swirl marks.

Now I find many uses in the house for odd jobs- it never seems to make it back to the shop when I need it.  I better quit typing as I'm talking myself into that second one...

Regards,
Gerald

One now, but will probably order one of the new versions when they reach the USA as I like the features of the new version. My eyes are not all that good and it helps to have two sources of light.

I'm glad I don't own one.

[huh]

I'm sure I could never own ONE. If I got one, I expect I'd soon own FOUR. I can't afford four...

So I'm glad I don't own one.

Here you go, Wayne. I think they put this together just for you.

Get a free special SYS 2 when you buy four...

Tom

Yeah, I saw that some time ago and quickly moved on. But it's definitely what made me say I'd never own just one.

And by the way, Tom - you're not helping!

[crying]

Now, if I could buy a Sys 2 and get a free Syslite, I'd be back to buying FOUR in a flash.

Get it? A flash..?

..of light?

oh, nevermind.

1. The syslite is great, especially during power outages, I can almost light up the first floor.

I'd never make that sale to Mrs. WOW - we have a little generator that backs up the whole house so I don't think she'd buy the argument.

I bought one for that.  Now I'm thinking that I should get a second one and then also get an inexpensive drill kit for the batteries.

Wayne,

I was lucky enough to win mine, so no convincing the misses.  Maybe you could say it is for walking out to the shop at night so you don't hurt your feet more by stepping in the wrong place?  I wish I had a generator, especially during hurricane sandy, but the syslite allowed me to go out and check for any damage or things to be tied down.  I think you need to trade Tom B. A first aid systainer for the 4 syslite one.

I would make that trade in a Texas minute! How about you Tom, you up for the trade?

[big grin]

Disclosure: Before Tom has to spit and sputter at being put in a tight spot, let me be the one to point out that a straight trade might be just a little lopsided. The First Aid Systainer I am selling for $400 and I'm saying it should have a retail value of $500. The SysLite 4-pack has a retail of $700. Of course I don't know what margin Tom has to work with on the SysLite, so maybe it's not as uneven as I'm thinking it might be?

So, back to the tight spot Tom - you up for the trade Wooden Skye so graciously proposed for you?
