I see a lot of posts that are trying to embed YouTube videos and being unsuccessful. The posters eventually just put a URL link to the video that takes you directly to YouTube.

90% of the time I see the link has been copied as a SECURE link, meaning that the URL begins with HTTPS://  Most forums cannot resolve the secure heading to embed.(Because the site when using HTTPS is encrypted with 128bit security) The VERY simple solution is that if you copy the URL from YouTube, just eliminate the "S" in "HTTPS". The URL should look like http://www..........

This is becoming a big problem, especially for those of us using the latest versions of Firefox as our browsers. Firefox apparently will attempt to go to a secure page automatically now, and will only resolve to a normal page if the secure is not available.

Once again, if you are attempting to embed a YouTube Video in your posts, just insure that the URL for the Video starts with HTTP://  (Not HTTPS://)

It really works! [thumbs up]

Here's a 30-second or so YouTube video that will instruct as well as prove the point above...

HOW TO PROPERLY CHUCK A DRILL BIT

Cheers,
