The worst part of getting over 2' of snow is trying to get it off the roof of your truck. I tried a new system today for removing the snow from my roof. First part, get on highway and make sure no one is behind you as you take the truck to warp speeds. This removed about half of the snow. The next step involves getting a ladder to get you to the truck roof. I buy 1/4"x4x8 sheets of corrugated plastic that the lumberyard sells for floor protection and rip a sheet in half lengthwise. I take the 2x8 sheet and jamb in under the snow on the roof of the truck. I use two pieces at a time, placing one under the other and moving them until the snow loosens then I dump it off the side. I also take a piece of 8' long Azek with me which I use to breakup any stubborn snow and ice. This worked great today!
