Hello,
I had Freud FT 3000 in my table, accidentally broke spindle/shaft lock system. Just forget it on "locked" position and started router...
That router is very good in table and preferably want it back into production. I have couple of question if you can help.

1. Where I can find replacement parts
- net searches gave nothing
- will send question to Freud, even they do not produce power tools anymore
maybe there is same model in other brand?

2. What are your recommendations for router in table use?
My requirements are
- height adjustment above table
- bit change above table and with one spanner/tool
- power for panels, smooth start, overall quality etc.

At the moment I have ELU MOF 177E, Festool MFK700, and one small Makita I don't use anymore. Table is cast iron table from Axminster.
I have several Festool power tools and like those. Having OF 2200 in table seems (is) overkill for my budget and OF 1400 maybe is too good to use permanently in table?

What other routers would you recommend?
I live in Finland so PC and other "exotic" brands are no option.

Live in Finland = Festool DF1400
Live in Finland ≠ PC as an exotic brand; Festool Is everywhere THE exotic brand
Bit changed above table.= buy bit extension; get the single hex socket to tightening
I’ve grown fond of the DF 1400 in the Festool table = exoticcc

I've had a Triton 1400W MOF001 router in my table for many years, and it has served me well.

If you need more power, there is the 2400W TRA001.

The MOF001 (and I assume, the TRA001) has an interlock so that you cannot turn it on with the spindle locked.  You just need to remember to take out the spring that lifts the router head in handheld use, or you'll have a tough job raising it when it's upside down - it's all explained in the manual.

Triton routers are relatively inexpensive, and I could never justify more in a table.

I am amazed at the number of people who use OF1400s in tables; they make excellent handheld routers, but I just think they are clumsy in a table.

Good luck!

Andrew

Parts were scarce when Freud made them. Now that Bosch owns them, they are like unicorns.

Maybe two wrenches will work ?

Look up an Eliminator chuck.

Other good 3 h.p. routers in the 2-300€ range can be had from Hitachi, Makita, Elu/DeWalt and Bosch.
