She is a keeper for sure -- tell her she can expect many more Festool presents for her special occasions...  [tongue]

I sure will.I bought her to a demo day last Thursday and she though the domino was the best thing ever and said I should save up to by one  [big grin]

At w 12 i looked at the lamello buscuit jointer with the t slot buiscuits and watched them do a few things with it and thought wow thats better than the dom onmitered joints etc, then i saw the price [eek] then saw the price of the special buiscuits [censored] [jawdrop] not paying that

well done john. you will love the kapex.

dean , you can always borrow jmbs one. im sure he will get one regardless of the price

He wont get 1 because the joint requires a 5mm hole to insert the allen key. He hate to see screws or holes. Glad i got the domino but think lamello has it down with fence design, i like how it references of the point on miter which is normally the bit your trying to line up

Dean,
I saw it at W10 and had to have it. (wanted to go toW12 but its a long way and I didn't have time)
Yes it was an arm and a leg and the fittings must be about 80p each or something. But when I build large stuff it is absolutely indispensible. Take it all as a flat pack, fit it together and a quarter turn of an allen key. Lines everything up perfectly and clamps it tight. Sometimes I've even used them just to avoid glue up and clamping ( and it is easier to use than the Domino)
If ever you have to do big units that need assembling on site it is as big a game changer as the Domino.
So far I have never found the small holes a problem, you can usually arrange them so that they are not visible.
The guide is better than on the samll domi - I haven't got the big one yet.

Thanks Alan. I can't wait to start using it. I'm going to a job up in Newry tomorro so will get to give it plenty of use up there once I have all the mf ceilings and walls up and slabbed.

Cheers guys!  [big grin] Anyone got any advice on attaching it to the Dewalt stand? I ask because I can't afford the Festool stand at the minute and also have no room at all in the van for it either.  [tongue]

it will work but i think you have to put a piece in betwwen to make the dw brackets longer.

Hi Alan I was looking at the saw there and if I take off the front feet for the mft and use that as the first mounting point and there is also a hole in the middle that I can use. It should work. I just need to buy some Allen key bolts and spring washers to try it out.
