I made an order for my first Festools. I bought a TS 55 REQ and an MFT/3, plus a couple other things to get me started. When I sell more art pieces or save some more, I'll get a sander and dust extractor. For now, I'll hope my shopvac does decently. Thanks for the help and I'm sure I'll be asking and searching here for advice on using and set-up.

Good for you. I did the same thing... within a month I had order 3 or 4 more times.
Unfortunately, I can't report back with amazement. It seems the company I ordered the tools from put my MFT/3 on backorder but failed to notify me about it. The receipt shows they charged me for it, and my CC statement shows the charge as well, but the only place the company shows it on backorder is on the shipping invoice -- which was sent to me after the rest of the order had been shipped. Had I known this before I placed the order, I would have purchased from somewhere else. At this point, I wouldn't recommend buying from www.festools-online.com. The main thing that drew me there was that they made it easy to swap out the standard 55" rail for a 75" rail. My next purchase, or maybe even the MFT/3, will be somewhere else. I'm hoping for a good explanation when I talk to someone who can tell me something other than the shipping department is closed until Monday.

That's a bummer no being told about a backorder.
I have purchased from Tool Nut (www.festoolproducts.com) as well as Bob Marino. If an item was out of stock I was told quickly and the item was shipped to me promptly when replenished.
