I know it’s early, but: Wera Advent calendar 2024

Oh, there is some interesting  new stuff. The 1/4" hex drive ratchet head that fits into any 1/4" hex holder / handle.

I dig the salt & pepper shakers more than I probably should.  The bottle opener looks fairly usable, too.

Not sure I've seen the 1/4" ratchet attachment before, but I don't get out much, either.

I've always been a fan of the advent calendars, and got one on deep discount a few years after-the-fact from Amazon a couple of years ago.

Thanks for posting!

Just makes living in the twilight zone between imperial and metric that much more frustrating. It would be great to have their pocket ratchet set handy until you reach for it and discover you really need a 7/16" socket...

Ya, that ratchet head is pretty clever. I could see just purchasing a couple of the ratchet heads to keep in a couple of Systainers.

Unfortunately, that ratchet head is not yet available.  [sad]

Yeah, a few years ago I broke down and bought the Milwaukee ¼" and ⅜" combined sets on sale at Home Despot for less than $100 each. The sockets are actually great - clear markings and the ends are square so they don't roll and you can put a big wrench on them for torque if you need (never have). Ratchets aren't bad either. I make do with the ¼" had a plain (or ratcheting) in-line handle, though.

In retrospect, should have bought the ¼" and ½" set since even those two have overlap. But I guess ⅜" is what I reach for mostly, so there's that. Hopefully we get a DF600 and have the same problem wrt dominos...

In case someone is interested, here are some other tool related Advent calendars that will be available this year.

Hazet Santa Tools 2024 - the main goodie being their new Made in Germany pliers wrench, which they call Grip pliers wrench. They claim exclusivity of the included tools, so I don’t know what size that pliers wrench ultimately will have, other than that it is supposed to “work” from 0 - 33mm. I’ve seen it priced for approx. 73,- EUR over here.

The new Grip pliers wrench:

After pausing for a couple of years, Stahlwille will again have an Advent calendar this year. I have seen it priced for approx. 99 EUR over here.

And if you want the socket set to be complete, you have to shell out another approx. 59 EUR to get the supplementary kit. (…)

Then some for which I didn’t bother to find links directly to the manufacturer’s sites.
