With all of the "anti" stuff dribbling all over the forum lately, I thought it would be good to point out exactly why I LOVE MY KAPEX.
For me the KAPEX sits in my garage alongside a CT36. In it dormant state is rests in it's UG cart with the wings in their sleeve, resting in the UG cart frame.
When I want to cut something it's simply a matter of rolling the cart and the CT out to the connected under cover area and setting up. In less than 5 minutes I'm fully set up with everything plugged in and ready to cut.
After the work is done, five minutes and everything is packed away and clean.
So the bottom line is, if I have a spare hour I can be effective.
When the Hitachi was my compound mitre saw solution, the setup and cleanup would take the best part of an hour in total ... bottom line, I did sweet fanny adams for many years.
As a side note - I've seen mention that people shut their eyes when they're using their KAPEX because they are "afraid of projectiles". Why anyone would think that their eyesight is worth gambling on even the most amazing tool completely amazes me ... protective glasses, goggles, visors cost a few dollars. I'm not certain ho much human eyes are worth ... but probably more than the most expensive Festool !!!
