I Made a Try-Square

And like my wife always says, it's big. 20 x 12. Total cost with shipping, bolts and predrilled holes was just under $39. It lays almost competly flat without a clamp or a lip on the bottom extrusion. This was not my idea, I saw it on a YouTube video a few days ago.

Parts list if anyone is interested. It took about 5 minutes to assemble because tightening the hex bolt was tricky.

That looks useful as a square guide, such as for a routing operation.

If one already has a good framing square, another alternative is to get a Veritas square fence. My framing square (made in Taiwan) is some 15 years old, at a cost of $7.5 Cdn. House of Tools no longer exists.

But it's not too often that I need to use a try square for my work (once a year or two?).
