Festool says the current sales of the RS2E sanders don't justify the cost of producing a 110v RS200E for the U.S. My thought is that if there was an RS200 sander (with plug it cord and newer technology) available the sales would most likely be better. Please, I promise I would do my best to boost the sales by buying one.

Yep, that's my newest sander and it would be listed in the Classified Ads section the day my new RS200E arrives, if not sooner.  But, I will not part with my new sander until this wish list item comes off the NAINA list.

What's the difference between them?

For a round-up of half-sheet sanders, both in the US and in Europe, you might want check out my post athttp://festoolownersgroup.com/index.php?topic=2961.msg32811#msg32811 which has photos and basic specifications of them all.

I'm not sure which of the European ones I'd go for. The RS100/RS100C has a 5mm orbit and more power for heavier sanding requirements, whilst the RS200 is more like the RS2, and the RS300 is like an RS2 with a slightly smaller standard pad, but with very useful iron-shaped and extended pad options:

I would want that RS 100, it looks like almost twice the power of the RS2.

Hi,

I would like to see them all available.  If the reason for not introducing the newer 1/2 sheet sanders is that sales are small then why have it sold in NA at all?  Especially since it is a different design to produce and keep in the line up.  Festool sells other obscure tools in NA and it seems to me that sales of those tools are probably relatively limited to users familiar with Festool.  So why can't the same apply to 1/2 sheet sanders?  Anyone familiar with Festool is a potential buyer even if 1/2 sheets are not as popular in NA.

You could always make the purchase and have a 220v receptilce in your garage and there always one available on the construction site depending on your where you do your work.  My partener was looking for the CMS and finally had it shipped from UK with all 220v set up including the belt sander.
