I think it would be helpful to have marks on the blade, as a reference, for adjusting the depth of the base plate stop / cut.
My T55 is 10 years old and I wrestle with holding the plunge and measuring to adjust the blade depth.

No doubt, the newer saws are easier to adjust....

Why are you measuring the blade depth that way ?  Surely you would just set the blade depth on the saw.

Couple reasons.
I always check the depth of the blade/kerf as I would on a table saw.
I don't want to cut too deep into my MFT/3
The depth adjustment scale is 90 degrees to the blade.  You can't see both at the same time.
The scale is metric.
I need to know where zero is on the FS Track.

Having markings on the blade with a line on the window verifies the depth when you validate your settings with a "test plunge".

It costs nothing to print it on the blade.

Right first off you don't need to check as it will cut exactly what you set it to.

When on the rail of you set it to 5mm it will just touch the surface. Just add 5mm for the rail for any cut you make on the rail. In fact the newer ts55req have a marking on the gauge to show you on rail .

Way more accurate than you could ever be with any printing on the blade.
