If you can't afford a domino

I've seen it before. Yes, it'll be ideal for some people.

I own one, and I also own a dowel max. I got a dowel max jr it's pretty rad. I really think its the next best thing

For the cost of the gadget it would be better to get a small, light duty, morticer. In the UK you can get one for £163 inc VAT.

If you went second hand you would pay a lot less and still get a solid machine (like the guy who bought mine which I sold after getting the Domino).

If the Domino did not drop from Festool Heaven then I would opt for a cheap and cheerful morticer.

I think the plywood domino is great. Would like to see it working. Not every one can just go out buying this that and the other

Indeed Dean, ingeniously

That plywood thing is very ingenious, i looked at another video but he never shows the boring action, makes me wonder how smooth it really goes.

That is fantastic - everyone needs to see this - pure genius.

I have ordered two sheets of ply and am going to make everything on my wish list below!

I had seen that, but the drilling part is cut out each time. All you see is the tool being pulled out.
Makes me think the action may not be as smooth or easy as the real thing.

That is awesome... I like how he does not say a word and you know what's being communicated... Kudos to him....

Peter,

That would be a really neat-looking workshop!  I'm looking forward to seeing your plywood watch :)

Thanks Chris - it would be just like the radio that Dad let me build. I used a couple of offcuts of 4x2, a piece of 2x1 and four 2 inch nails - I was only just 5 at the time (and my woodwork has not improved much since then). It must have been the world's first digital radio as I can remeber hitting every one of my fingers with the hammer.

Peter

Peter the ply watch would be an improvement over the radio as the watch would be right twice a day..
