M about to add the parallel guide set to my festool family but, I'm debating between the imperial version or the metric.

So far my festool investment have all been metric ( of-1400, domino 500, carvex 420, lr32, cms-VL)

Thank you

Your tape measures.......Imperial or metric ?

Go with the unit of measure you use.

Two things I guess, if you are happily conversant with metric then keep going and build up all you tools in metric.
Having them in metric may help if you are taking plans based on the euro 32 setup for cabinets so that's one advantage and since you have the lr32 will help when you plan out your cabinets.

But if you can move between both metric or imperial then choose which one you prefer using the most.

At the end of the day, the parallel guides are to assist you in getting your boards the same parallel widths and really doesn't matter what system of measurement you use as long as you stick with it all the way through a project.

One other thing, I didn't realise the Carvex is metric?  [smile]

I would skip, the festool ones and go Seneca. So much easier to use and cost a lot less. I sold my festool and very happy I did .

That was the conclusion I came to as well. The Seneca system seems to be a lot better, easier and cheaper.

If you're using it for cabinet construction  - metric

If you're using it to frame houses - imperial

If youre using the 32mm system you mean? Pretty sure lots of cabinets have been constructed with imperial marked table saws. Only advantage I know of to building cabinets in metric is if youre planning to use the 32mm system. If youre not then wouldnt it still be better to get the imperial guides?
