My apologies if this has been discussed before, but the guide rail deflector needs serious improving. It is not a quick on and off type attachment but it needs to be removed and reattached because it blocks the clamp slot underneath. Also the hose and cord often slip out (especially with the angled discharge of the TS 75) which makes it even less useful. Higher flanges, clamp slot access, quick connect, no doubt other folks here can offer other ideas as well. Back to the drawing board Festool and make this part faster, easier, smarter.

Yup.  I've been wanting an improved deflector for years.  Taller side flanges, wide enough for the FS/2 rails (the old rails were narrower) flared out to work better when the hose is not coming from straight back, get rid of the "notch" between the bottom and sides that  catches the cord.

They need to come up with guide rail ends protectors too

That or a really loooong systainer  [big grin]. I have yet to bang a rail end on something, when I do I'll probably be thinking an end protector would have been nice.

Make another one and ship it to Festool in Indiana with a bow on it. Maybe they'll take the hint... [wink]
