Thanks,

I've always just used a 6" roofing square and put one /two pencil marks on the square to indicate where I need to drill. Then every time I reference off the side or the drawer/door my marks are in exactly the same place each time.

Hi Bill. Thanks for your reply.
I saw this as well but I have drawer handles that are larger then the jig will handle.

I use the "Euro handle it"
Amazon has it for about $50
You do need a pozidrive scree driver to adjust the jig for the holes placement
The true position is also nice if you want to spend a little more
The Euro jig does have a stop for side placement
I don't see that on the true position jig

[member=24938]JCLP[/member] It looks like Richelieu sells this jig in Canada. You are correct that they only sell to companies in Canada. As you are a company, you can go on their website and apply online for approval to make purchases.

You can either apply for a customer number that has access to their product lines as a cash sale customer or a line of credit. Really easy to do and if I remember it only took a couple of days for them to process my customer number.

Bruce beat me to it and he is absolutely is correct.

I could order this for you but I won't be putting in another order for a couple weeks.
I have an Hettich Accura hole jig which you can get from Robert Bury in Brampton or Commonwealth Plywood in Rexdale. I think Robert Bury stocks the Accura with the small rail and Commonwealth will special order. I liked the Accura as it seemed a bit more flexible in terms of size of drawers it could adjust to. The price was about the same, but Robert Bury had a sale on it when I bought it a couple years ago.

I've used the True Position for about a year now and love it. Looked at the one at Robert Bury but I think the TP one is easier to use. McKillican also has the TP one.

2nd vote for the "Euro handle it". I have an older one form the late 90's that is identical to current model. A few years ago I lost one of the screws (and) nut so I called the company and the owner answered the phone. He told me their had been some improvements to the tool and sent me a conversion kit for the cost of shipping. Once setup it works without much room for error.

If you did not want to spend any money then you good make some templates out of scraps that align with the corners of your upper cabinets and you could get fancy with a lip. You really only need a dimple mark to do the drilling. A template for drawers would be a little tougher to be failsafe since you will have multiple size drawers (most likely).

If it is a one time use I go with the scraps.

You might try calling True Position direct.  I don't know if they can ship to our northern neighbors, but I'm in the US and they were really helpful and sent my order direct from them.

Good luck!

I use a translucent piece of plastic from a file folder. I place the plastic over the handle where I can see the holes. I mark the plastic where the first hole is to go with a fine tip marker. I use an awl to punch through the plastic, stick one of the screws through the hole and screw it into the handle. I then mark where the second hole is to go and then punch through the plastic.  I draw a line between the holes with the marker and bisect it to mark the centerline. I now have a near zero cost template that I can easily orient on the drawer front to drill holes for the drawer screws. A slightly over sized hole accommodates and inaccuracies in my hole placements.

Thanks everyone for your responses. Ended up doing a lot of research on the web and ended up getting the True Precision jig. Haven't tried it yet, but it looks pretty in the box. Also picked up Blum's Ecodrill for drilling that 35mm hinge hole. It also looks pretty. Will try both later tonight.
Now back to sanding drawer fronts. YUK.
