I found a neat way to use my Domino to attach decking planks.  Center your borehole along the centerline of the deck joist but boring a depth shorter than your domino by 5 mm per board, the resulting 10mm leaves you with enough space between the planks to drill a screw into the joist and let leaves fall through the gap.
