Intelligent workshop UK

Phil, if you wanted the bench, parf or rail dogs, let me know and and I'll get you some. If it's anything else I may be able to point you in the right direction.
Regards
John

Thanks for the offer John, though the order was not workbench/dog related. It was for a Kreg pocket hole jig + clamp + screws, so small beer, just frustrating as I need these for a particular job which is now on hold, and radio silence from Intelligent Workshop means I don't know whether to cut my losses and source elsewhere.

Where in the UK are you based ? I got my Kreg jig at d & m tools near me in Twickenham. They've got quite a bit of Kreg stuff and workshop heaven online.

Yeah Tom closed it all down awhile back he also had a small woodwork forum called thewoodhaven that closed but has reopened under new ownership

Does anyone know what caused his business to fail - there might be lessons for others. Was he ripped off by his suppliers or subcontractors, was he a poor businessman, was he just unlucky being there during the recession or did he have other problems?

In the few times that I spoke to him he always seemed enthusiastic but latterly it was difficult to communicate with him at all.

Peter im not sure exactly what happened. But i think it was mentioned on the old woodhaven forum that Tom was having personal problems and i think that may not have helped with the forum or the business.

Thanks. Poor chap - it is bad enough trying to keep your head above water during a recession but having other problems on top is pretty tough.
