Has anyone gone from the old 99CFM MIDI to the current 134CFM one?

The MIDI was one of the first tools I bought and still works perfectly. But it doesn't have the t-loc and I quite fancy getting the new one. But really need some more justification! Do you notice the difference in suction with for example routers, TS55, sanders and Dominos. Don't have Kapex but do use it with a Bosch SCMS (but dust extraction is hopeless on that saw anyway).

Thanks!

I just upgraded and yes it's noticeable.
Tried it out yesterday with my planex and it was pretty sweet.

OK thanks - what I thought but was wallet was hoping you'd all say don't bother!

The one thing I do notice is it's a little lacking for general tidy up compared to even my cheap workshop vac. But that leaks fine dust!

I think the change was in 2012, but don't hold me to it. If yours is from 2010 there a very large chance it's the old type.

If you want to know for sure, email Festool the model and serial number, they can tell you.

All models with a T-loc top are the upgraded type, but there are also some upgraded vacs with the classic top.

If I remember correctly that's also when they moved to HEPA filters. I believe they all got stickers that said as much. HEPA filters are white, the older ones were yellow.

That doesn't apply in the UK - they are all L class.
